The Importance of Salvation
The Lord Jesus Christ himself said in John 3:3 “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again (saved) they cannot see the kingdom of God (Heaven).” Unless a person is saved, they will not be in Heaven.
The Need of All to be Saved
God tells us in Romans 6:23, that “the wages of Sin is death.” The sin that we all have
committed (Rom3:23) demands eternal punishment from a righteous God. We all
need deliverance from this coming judgment.
The Person who can save
Rom 5:8 says, “but God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.” God sent his Son to be the Savior, that each and every
person might be saved through him. Not a religion, or being a better person, but
through Christ alone.
How Can a Person be Saved
Eph 2:8 reminds us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not
your own doing; it is the gift of God.” By understanding Christ’s death was sufficient
payment for my sin, and receiving salvation as a gift from God.
